2020 Operation Christmas Child

Every quarter, the team at Family Wealth Partners gets the privilege to pause in our day to day work and donate 4 hours of our time to a charity. During the month of December, we get to head up to a large warehouse to pack some very important boxes.

Operation Christmas Child is a worldwide initiative that has been around since 1993. Volunteers all over the world collect items and toys in a shoebox for children in need in over 100 countries and deliver those boxes during the Christmas season. According to Operation Christmas Child, “Since 2009, 23.3 million children have enrolled in this 12-lesson program to learn how to follow Christ and share Him with others. More than 11.2 million of these boys and girls have made a decision to accept Jesus as their Savior during the course.”

The Family Wealth Partners team has been volunteering at the Operation Christmas Child processing center in Charlotte, NC since 2011 and enjoyed going back every year. This year, the team was able to participate in sorting and packaging the shoe boxes filled with toys, clothing, and school supplies for children in Madagascar on 12/7/20. Nothing says “Christmas spirit” quite like singing Christmas music together while providing a selfless act, and the team did just that! After the boxes were packed, we took time to lay our hands on each of the boxes and pray for the children who will receive them. It brings our team great joy, and we were blessed to participate in such a wonderful event year after year.
